Miranda has brought together techniques from various forms of Reiki and alternative healing to create Reiki workshops which are fun and full of information. Content ranges from simple traditional Reiki hand positions to sensing energy and working with the body’s energy centres or ‘chakras’. Students will be given everything they need to practice Reiki and they can use as much or as little of the additional information and techniques as they like.
Level 1 Reiki workshops
Level 1 is the introductory level and has no requirements. This makes it ideal for anyone to learn.
In the workshop you will be given > attunement to the Reiki energy and taught different ways of experiencing and using the Reiki energy to help support you in everyday life. You will also be taught:
- A number of exercises and meditations to help you open up to the Reiki energy
- How to sense energy blocks and remove them
- How to heal the body’s energy centres or ‘chakras’
- Your first traditional Reiki symbol
- An additional attunement to help you ground and centre
You will be given loads of practice and will receive healing from your co-students. You will also have a comprehensive manual to take home.
You will be taught everything you need to know about using Reiki on yourself and on your friends and family. Once you start using Reiki you will have it for life, and many people find it begins the start of a whole new way of life.
Most workshops are taught over a weekend but can be booked as a one-to-one during the week or as an evening class.

Level 2 Reiki workshops
Level 2 is traditionally the practitioner level, but many more people learn Reiki for their own self-development and well-being. To do the level 2 workshop you will need to have received level 1 attunement.
In the workshop you will receive attunement to the next level of Reiki energy and will be taught how to use healing symbols. You will be taught:
Both traditional Reiki symbols and those unique to these workshops
- When, where and how to use symbols
- Chanting with symbols
- Distant healing techniques
- Advanced meditation
You will also have the opportunity to receive additional energy attunements.
You will also be given plenty of practice and experience of giving and receiving the symbols. This is always a fun workshop!
At the end of the workshop you will be taught how to prepare yourself and a room to run a full healing session. You will also be given a comprehensive manual on how to run a healing session and practical advice on taking clients.

Venues
Southampton:
Reiki workshops are held in a venue in the medieval heart of old Southampton and are kept to small student numbers to ensure personal attention and guidance.
There is parking close by and venues are in easy walking distance of Southampton station and bus stops. There are some steps in the venue which may make accessibility more difficult for some students.
The New Forest:
Venues in the New Forest will booked on request and may range from a hotel room or a person's house to being in the Forest itself (weather permitting!). If you would like to host or organise a New Forest Reiki workshop please contact Miranda on > enquiries@reiki-southampton.co.uk.
Workshop dates:
Workshops tend to be held once a month but the dates are often chosen to try and fit in with student’s commitments.
Workshops can be offered as evening class or one-on-one training for students unable to attend weekends.

Payment:
A deposit of 50% needs to be made in full one week before the workshop.
Methods of payment include:
- Cheques made payable to Miranda Gray
- Postal Orders made payable to Miranda Gray
- Online payments via Paypal (coming soon)
If the class is cancelled by Miranda the deposit will be returned.
If the student cancels more than three days before the class the deposit will be returned, if the student cancels less than three days before then the deposit becomes a cancellation fee and will not be returned.

Times and meals:
Most workshops are held over a weekend, although some may be offered as an evening class if requested. Workshops start at 10.00 am and end around 4.00 pm and include lunch and tea (please indicate on booking if you have any dietary requirements).
Manual and support:
Extensive manuals are provided for each class and students are able to email Miranda for after workshop support.

For people coming from further afield there are a number of places to stay in Southampton and the New Forest:
